The server we use requires each user to choose a nick name. These nicks can be registered so that no one else can use the nick you have chosen. Registration is NOT a requirement to join #muddysjoint.  If the nick you have chosen requires a password then it has been registered. The easiest way to get around that is to choose either a very unusual nick name or add a number or a symbol to the end of your name e.g. muddy123 or muddy^.
